How it Works
1. Become a Member
We've tried to make it as easy as possible for you to use Specialized Sitters.
The first step is to become a member. Once you're a member, you're welcome to schedule a sitting appointment.
2. Schedule a Sitter
Our sitters are available to watch your child (or children) in multi-hour segments — typically, four hours or more — during the day, evening and weekend.
When you make a sitting appointment, we match you with a sitter who has the right experience for your family's needs. We use your responses to the Child Needs
Questionnaire (completed during the membership process) to identify an ideal sitter for your child with special needs.
We understand that consistency is important. If you would like to request a sitter who you've had in the past, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
To schedule a sitting appointment, please click on the request a sitter button below. If this is your first time making a request, you may contact us by phone instead. We want you to feel comfortable.
3. Speak to Your Sitter
Your sitter will contact you approximately 48 hours in advance to confirm your sitting appointment. If there is anything special you'd like to discuss with your sitter, you may do so on the phone or in person at the start of the sitting appointment.

At the completion of your child's sitting appointment, your sitter will give you an invoice that outlines the hours of service. Please sign the invoice and return it to your sitter. He or she will take care of submitting your invoice, so it's one less step for you.
When we receive the signed invoice, we will charge your credit card and email you a receipt for your records.
If you would like to tip your sitter at the conclusion of the appointment, you are welcome to do so. It's your choice.
